Comments welcome. Also attached is the short version on how to set up proto2, which should be adequate for those familiar with proto1 to get started. While assembling proto2 we identified a number of minor mechanical design faults which will need correction for production. Most of these were fixed on proto2 as we built it. One unfixed problem is the fasteners for the rear cage. As you will see, there is not enough space to easily operate them (especially the right-hand one). We have a couple of ideas of what to do, but for now I will await your comments on the box as a whole. One minor fault on the power supply box is that I didn't order the rear corner pieces, so there is a small gap at each end of the rear panel. This will be corrected in future versions. In the end I did not get the power supply unit safety tested (apart from checking earth continuity). However, the mains-powered stuff is all bought-in, and used conventionally, so it should be OK.
