Quick instructions for setting up prototype2 distribution

and power supply crates

On distribution crate:
   - Plug control card into right-most slot.
   - Plug input card into left-most input card slot (marked "Input 1").
   - Plug output card into any of the seven output card slots.

On CAEN supply:
   - Set NIM/TTL switch to TTL.
   - Set ENABLE switch to LOC ENABLED.
   - Set INTERLOCK switch to OPEN.
   - Insert 50 Ohm terminator in "HV EN" on back of each HV card.

Use the supplied power lead to connect one of the power outlets on the
rear of the supply crate to the power inlet on the rear of the
distribution crate.

Control connections:
   Connect the connectors on the front panel of the power supply crate
   as follows:
     - Connect the upper-left connector to "GEN" on the CAEN.
     - Connect the upper-right connector to "INTERLOCK" on the CAEN.
     - Connect one of the five lower-left connectors to "Control In" on
       the control card in the distribution crate.
     - Connect one of the five lower-right connectors to "Control Out"
       on the control card in the distribution crate.
     - Connect the other four of the five lower-right connectors to four
       the five central connectors ("control bypass outputs").

If not using the CAEN, use one of the "control bypass outputs" on the
power supply crate as the "GEN" signal.

If short of LEMO leads, you can also connect "GEN" (or a bypass output)
directly to "Control In"; and you can connect "Control Out" directly to
the CAEN "Interlock" if you change the INTERLOCK switch to CLOSED.
