We use NIKHEF B-sensors (as in ATLAS ) but with different resistors to allow the Hall probes to be saturated at 4.5 T. Each B-sensor is attached to the CAN-node by 10 wire flat cable. CAN-node can support up to 4 B-sensors, the nodes are connected in daisy chain by CAN-bus (4 shielded twisted pairs). One 3-D probe card has therefore 10 wires (1 pair per probe + temp + power) I annex the user manual of these elements. If you want more details I can give the name of the person in charge of this component . One small additional consideration: if you only need a signal indicating the change of field we can supply a copy of the value of the main current in the solenoid . Obviously at any change it correspond a field variation and thus you can act accordingly! I remain available to further discussion. Cheers Domenico
