Once again thanks
for meeting with us last week.
I have looked at
some of the details you requested following our meeting.
The Z dimension you
seem to have referenced on your drawing (Z=3911) is the EE and HE interface
plane, this number is useful and should be kept as a
cross reference between EE-HE-ES detectors.
On the other matter
of ES spider fixtures I have checked the Russian environmental shield drawings.
Nothing has changed since the End Cap EDR in Sept 2002. The phi positioning of
the ES fixture holes checks correctly however the radii at which these holes are
dimensioned on your diagrams are not. Andrei Levine presented the interfaces
during the EDR and has these fixture holes at R1542mm. This does not correspond
with the R1545 number you have. Details can be found in CMS ECAL EDR-06 section
3.5 however I have downloaded some relevant drawings (HPGL) from CDD and
attached them for your reference.
