Here is a list of items which we think will have bar codes for EE,
after discussing with various people. Total: 6 functional barcodes:

1) VPT
2) Crystal

Still in discussion, VPT HT test before or after gluing to xtal
=> CRISTAL check: Scan VPT barcode and xtal barcode
to associate the two together

=> CRISTAL check: scan the vpt/xtal for the corresponding alveolar pocket
of the SC

3) SC

Barcode on one 'front insert' of the SC
after 25 vpt/xtals have been inserted and glued into place
=> CRISTAL check: if SC high voltage soak test was OK

4) Positional spacer

Aluminium block which orients the SC in 3 dimensions and defines its position on a Dee
=> CRISTAL check: Scan Positional spacer barcode and SC barcode
to associate the two together

5) Slot on Dee backplate

Each SC has a slot on the Dee backplate for cables.
Near this slot should be a bar code.
=> CRISTAL check: that positional spacer and Dee slot are consistent

The backplate should have a barcode to identify it

We do not see the need for barcodes on
Alveolars - will pass a go/no go test 
HT cards/umbilical inside SC - will pass a go/no go test
