Description in column 1 to say 'suspended by crane', cases 2,4,7, 8 and 'crane + rotation block' for cases 5 & 6. Sqrt(2) to be on the denominator, case 6 2) Alexander to carry out FEA on cases 1 and 3 from Justin's document EE457 3) Alexander to calculate C of G a) system with rotation beams, blue feet, strengthening beam b) system without rotation beams, blue feet, strengthening beam 4) Dave to arrange meeting with Lucien Veillet, Yves Bernard (transport) and Olivier as soon as possible 5) Next meeting on Friday 12 May at 10.00, bat 40 - 1 - B20 Notes/discoveries following meeting ----------------------------------- 1) Rotation in OPAL This was done with the OPAL frames UPSIDE DOWN with respect to the CMS case. See attachments 'Rotation on OPAL', 'Rotation on CMS'. 'Rotation on OPAL' also shows the connections to the crane from the 4 OPAL frame feet. 2) Mario will calculate a quick C of G possibly by tomorrow, 4 May. 3) Mario agreed with alexander, a 20mm spacer is forseen between the stiffening beam and the connection to the blue feet.
