Following on from the Consolidation meeting the other day I did spend some time looking for remote manipulation products and prices. It’s clear that I would have to approach the companies in order to get fixed prices as they do not appear to give price lists over the web for this sort of equipment. I have attached a few useful links, there are also companies that produce clear mobile shielding screens, something that maybe of some use whilst working on a Dee assembly. I also attach a very useful guide on safe handling of radioactive materials in research, this is quite interesting and a recommended read for those involved in the design of the screening equipment.
