Stephenson preamps

The Stephenson preamps have been used extensively for ECAL tests at CERN and elsewhere. The surface mount single channel cards are ~ 2 x 6 cm2 in size.

Type 1    Single channel cards. Shaping time 25 ns,  used at H2/H4 test beams etc.
                Noise ~ 1100 electrons for 35 pF i/p capacitance.
Max peak voltage out 2 V, driving into 50 ohm for an i/p charge of 2.107 electrons (check!)

Type 2   5 channel cards designed by Bristol. ~ 150 channels / 30 cards

                SC02 VIRGINIA    2000 BTCP R&D phase 3   HV cards and 5 channel Stephenson R/O 31.1.06

Type 3   Single channel cards, 1000 ns for use at the Brunel test rig
40 single channel cards produced and sent to Brunel in 1999.

30 channels at Bristol, ~ 27 packaged into a read out box from the 1999 beam test at CERN, ~ 3 spare
30 channels returned from CERN, via Bristol on 23.3.2000
12? channels packaged into a readout box for ther minisupercrystal test in 1998
5 at Brunel for VPT tests
10 at RAL in R5.2 for VPT and ISIS test beam work
