Welcome to the Particle Physics Department Open Days '98

Here you will find a collection of material presented at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory Open Days, from Friday June 26th to Thursday July 3rd 1998. The intention is to give an introduction to both Particle Physics and some of the projects that this department is involved in.

[This web is still under construction so can change at short notice.]

The pages can be viewed as frames or non-frames (try frames - if you don't know which to use).

Useful addresses on the World Wide Web for further information on Particle Physics

Much information can be found about particle physics on the World Wide Web. Indeed, the web was invented by Tim Berners-Lee, whilst working at CERN, to provide easily accessible documentation facilities for geographically dispersed physicists working in large experimental collaborations.

The following is a short list of some web addresses which are probably the most useful. Many provide pointers to other information.
