Frontier Physics For Teachers

The third residential workshop in the Frontier Physics For Teachers series will focus on the frontier research fields of particle physics and cosmology.
The aims of the workshop are two-fold. Firstly, to provide physics teachers with some of the necessary knowledge to be able to teach 'A' level modules containing particle physics and cosmology. Secondly, for teachers already comfortable with these subjects, to provide more in-depth information and contact with researchers active in these fields.
The workshop will be held at The Cosener's House in Abingdon and will commence on the evening of Friday 3 March and finish during the afternoon of Sunday 5 March. All accommodation and meals will be provided for the weekend. Early application is advised as numbers will be restricted to 30-40 teachers.
Funding is provided by the Particle Physics and Astronomy Research Council and the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory. A contribution of £25 is requested from each participant, but this can be waived in special cases.
