Predictions for Higgs and Electroweak Boson Production

Michael H. Seymour

Predictions are made for the production and decay of the Higgs and electroweak bosons of the Standard Model, for a variety of present and proposed collider experiments. These are used to study the extent to which the theories behind them - quantum chromodynamics and the electroweak theory - can be tested, and to propose search strategies for detecting the Higgs boson at future colliders.

Somewhat to my surprise, I still find my PhD thesis quite useful, nearly ten years later. Even more surprisingly, I still get quite a few requests for it from other people. So, finally, after meaning to do this for about five years, I have resurrected the TeX source, and here it is...

For some reason that I can't fathom, a lot of the page and line breaks have got worse, but I can't be bothered to fix them. You'll just have to take my word for it that I was really careful about things like that, and the original looked beautiful, if I do say so myself.
