Aileen and Mike's Wedding

We were married on October 21st 2000, at The Church of St. Aloysius Gonzaga, Woodstock Road, Oxford, at 1pm.  The reception was held at St. Hugh's College, St. Margaret's Road, Oxford, from 3pm to 11pm.  Evening guests were invited from 8pm.

We never got time to put much information here, but here at least is the information we sent out as a word file or as plain text and the corresponding map.  Here is an aerial view of Oxford showing the church and college.

History

We met in October 1998, at the birthday party of my Greek work-mate Sakis who was, until a few weeks ago, Aileen's lodger, but we didn't really get to know each other well until Aileen was looking for a collaborator with whom to start a particle physics project for sixth formers.  I jumped at the chance and we successfully applied for a PPARC grant to fund it.  At about that time I was working at CERN in Geneva for two months so, purely to work on the project you understand, I plucked up the courage to invite Aileen over for a few days.  The rest, as they say, is history...

The project kicked off with a weekend at  The Cosener's House , the Rutherford Lab's picturesque conference center in Abingdon...

Pretty soon we realized that it was meant to be and I whisked Aileen off to Florence to propose...

Not long after, we had an engagement party at Aileen's mum's...
